Izo.  Have a very humanoid robot guy for Thanksgiving!  (Photoshop. 11/23 - 24/2011.) Simplified process (although the last step is color and that is the main picture): 1.) Initial sketch out in photoshop.  I always like to work in blue for this. 2.) With help from the initial sketch, clean up the lines!  Always do this in black.  Although there have been times I have then sectioned off different parts of the outline and changed their colors. 3.) Bye bye sketch lines!  I don’t actually delete them, the layer just gets hidden.  After this is color!   I tend to do base colors, then shading, then highlights.  Each of those different types getting their own layer for each “part” of the picture.  A “part” being like, skin, hair, eyes, that sort of thing.
